About Metallica

Metallica was first established in Los Angeles - United States by the name of The Young Metal Attack. Several months later this group changed its name to the Metallica that perhaps the word is a combination of Metal and Vodca. Metallica name their own is actually the name proposed for a music magazine that stolen by Lars Ulrich before the magazine's got the name.

Formation is the first Metallica Lars Ulrich (drums), James Hetfield (vocal and guitar), Lloyd Grant (guitar) and Ron Mc Govney (bass). This formation, which then delivered the first track, entitled Hit The Light, then enter the rock compilation album Metal Massacre in 1981.

After circulating Metal Massacre, and Ron Grant resigned. Grant's position was replaced by Dave Mustaine and Ron position replaced Cliff Burton.
